What is a DSD/Try-out dive?DSD stands for Discover Scuba Diving, also known as a try-out dive — a beginner-friendly program designed for people who have never dived before. It’s a fun, safe introduction to the underwater world, guided step-by-step by a certified instructor. You'll learn some basic theory, try breathing underwater, and go for a real dive (usually to a maximum depth of 6–12 meters), all without needing a license. It’s perfect if you want to experience scuba diving for the first time — no prior experience or swimming skills required!

Can I dive if I can't swim?Yes — if you're doing a try-out dive (DSD), you don't need to know how to swim. You just need to feel comfortable in the water. You'll be closely supervised by an instructor, and you'll always wear a buoyancy control device (BCD) that keeps you afloat. It's a safe and fun way to try scuba diving for the first time! However, if you want to get certified (PADI Open Water Diver), basic swimming ability is required. You’ll need to: Swim 200 meters (any style, non-stop) Float or tread water for 10 minutes Be comfortable with snorkeling skills We recommend certification only for those who can swim or snorkel confidently. If you're unsure, try a DSD first — it’s a great way to build confidence before committing to a course.
-
What certifications do you accept for diving? We accept all internationally recognized scuba certifications, including: PADI SSI CMAS NAUI SDI, and others. As long as your certification is valid and clearly indicates your diver level, you're welcome to join our fun dives, courses, or specialty programs.
