What Is Discover Scuba Diving?

Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is a short, entry-level program designed for non-certified divers who want to try scuba diving for the first time.

It’s not a certification course, but a quick and exciting introduction that includes:

• Basic Theory & Safety BriefingLearn how scuba gear works and how to stay safe underwater.

• Shallow Water PracticeTry essential skills like clearing your mask, using your regulator, and achieving buoyancy.

• Your First DiveExplore a shallow reef or bay under the full supervision of a certified PADI instructor — max depth: 12 meters (40 feet).

What to Expect During the Experience

The full DSD experience takes around 2 to 3 hours, and includes:

• Hotel pickup (from selected areas)

• Gear fitting and introduction at our dive center

• A professional instructor to guide you every step

• A relaxed and unforgettable dive in the warm Atlantic waters

This is a stress-free way to try diving, and if you love it, your DSD dive can even count toward a future PADI Open Water certification.

Participants must be at least 10 years old and in good general health. You don’t need to know how to swim — just be comfortable in the water.
